No, but it does mean we stand a chance at putting an end to the terror we're inflicting- and in turn, lessening the threat against us.

The democratic win last night just means that democracy will prevail and we'll actually have a system of checks and balances. When you have the house, the senate and the executive branch all one party (even all democrat) it gives too much power to the president. Our forefathers wanted the branches for a reason so that people could speak up if they werent happy with things getting done with only one view point making decisions. This is why America is great. When people need to put the breaks on the pres, they can. We don't have a monarch with absolute power becuse we have some say in things getting checked and balanced. I LOVE AMERICA!!
And terrorism? Maybe when we begin to make decisions based on what people want done with their image and tax dollars, other countries won't hate us as much thus reducing terrorism.
Always remember an all powerful leader is not a good thing. Look at history. Especially when he is surrounded by evil advisors and a rubber stamp house and senate.

Terrorism ins't a threat, it's a tactic of war. Islamo-facism is a threat. You have the rebels in Chechnya, the Palestinians against the Israelis, the conflict in Bosnia, the Pakistanis against the Indians, Muslims in several counties in North Africa against Christians and seculars.
MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD, IRANIAN PRESIDENT (through translator): We have advised the Europeans that the Americans are far away, but you are the neighbors of the nations in this region. We inform you that the nations are like an ocean that is welling up, and if a storm begins, the dimensions will not stay limited to Palestine, and you may get hurt.
A Muslim Cleric in Syria: As you know, the enemy in this year appears to be Israel, but, as everyone knows, the fighting enemy is actually America. Israel is merely the claw of America in this war. People who cannot stand with their fighting brothers can still fight. They can carry out other actions.

No I don't believe this means that at all , in spite of all the rhetoric Democrats are just as capable to confront terrorist . The difference I expect to see is there will be a face put on the terrorist before blindly wading into situations such as Iraq . They will help curb the antagonistic foreign policies we have come to expect and have some actual dialog going on . We haven't been a team player with regard to Iraq , that is because the rest of the world like many of us didn't perceive them an imminent threat such as Osama Bin Laden . Our troops are not to be squandered and should only be used with a clear and concise purpose and only then when all diplomatic efforts have failed . Now we can address failures this administration created .

By and large terrorism is about the same threat it has always been. 9/11 made us aware that we can be targets. The political profiteering off of 9/11 has made it a sure thing that we will be a target again. That is the bush-neocon legacy. We will be hit again thanks to bush, and he and his gang will blame everybody else.
As for the so-called war on terrorism, it has given rise to totalitarian abuses of citizens of the U.S. but has provided no additional security against attack.
Our best defense against attack is an aware citizenry, willing to take risks to stop terrorists, rather than cowering and waiting for the heroes of the Katrina disaster to come save us.

The anti-democracy corruption within the Republican/Conservative regime and the real danger of the trumped-up fanatical groups they pandered to for votes, such as the Evangelicals who have threatened violent overthrow of this government if their agendas are not made into law, is the greatest threat of terrorism in this land.

Of course not. Terrorism isn't real. A stock market at an all-time high is a "bad economy." Unemployment at a near all-time low is high. The government is taking in record money, but, somehow, we aren't paying enough.
If you want to understand liberals, you must stand on your head and tell the rest of the world that it's upside down.
My wish is that only the ignorant masses that elected these jokers would suffer from their policies. Unfortunately, we all must live under their reign whether we voted for them or not.

Terrorism is a bigger threat now. When even the terrorists want the Dems to win then you know something is wrong. They have told us that they want to kill every American and now they will have an easier chance of doing it. Dems have no plan for the border (they want open borders) and it is historically known that no civilazation has lasted when the borders are open. America will no longer be the country we once knew.

Well... If you're referring to that fact that the neo-cons were responsible for the worst terrorist attack on American soil since pearl harbor, then probably!
Unless you take OK City into consideration, which was carried out by members of our government while Clinton was president.
