I am just wondering about that and the frozen veggies or do they have to be cooked first because of his age. Not too concerned about the choking factor as it will be added to a feeding bag, but am worried about the sanitary factor. Thanks

I was told that frozen fruits and veggies actually have more nutritional value than canned because frozen veggies are usually frozen sooner than canned are canned causing them to be fresher! You should be fine! You shouldn't need to cook veggies first either since it was recommended by my doctor that I give my daughter frozen green beans to chew on for teething.

I never used the frozen fruit but did use frozen veggies for all 3 of my kids. Felt they were safe and have read many good things about them.

To decide if it's safe:

1. Check the ingredients for no added salt, sugar, etc.

2. Still need to cook/boil/microwave. I usually overcook the veggies so they will be extra soft.

Good job on using the feeding bag!

I think it would be fine. I fed my son frozen veggies when he was that age, of course they were cooked first. If you are worried about the fruit, go with canned fruit that is in lite syrup, but I don't think there is anything wrong with the frozen, just rinse it off.

Yes frozen fruit/veggies are fine. Babies shouldn't have berries (strawberries/ raspberries, blueberries are fine) until they are a year old. You could use it in the mesh feeder or cook and puree them for him.

why not just give your baby baby food?that should be safer because baby food companies are very particular also about the kind of ingredients they put into it.sometimes we think fresh is best for babis but there are fresh veges and fruits packed with nitrates also.go organic if you must.

Just to be safe, I would ask my peditrician first. If he/she says yes it is safe, then you are good to go.
