How to game share on PSP?

Question

My son and I both have a PSP. He just bought Smack Down VS. Raw. He are trying to game sher via wifi. Try as we might we can not figure it out. We have tried it on a few games and it doesn't work. It is no problem on the Nintendo DS. This PSP is kicking our butts.

Did you make sure that they are both in Ad Hoc connection mode?
