I am trying to find out the details in the case, what happened before the trial, the manuscripts from the tape that recorded the exorcism, etc. Pretty much, anything, and everything that can be given.

try this. Her name wasn't really Emily Rose. Just because something is "based off a true story" doesn't make it real. Look at Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The "true story" and the movie have very little in common.

well, good luck with your search because most of what your going to find are discussions on the movie, wether or not the real "emily rose" (Anneliese Michel) was even possesed and people griping that the movie twists her story. I could not find one single thing related to the trial or the exorsism itself. I would have to venture a guess that this is due the fact that the Anneliese Michel case took place in the mid 70's.

The film is based on the true story of Anneliese Michel, a young Catholic woman from Germany who died in 1976 after unsuccessful attempts to cure her from the alleged state of demonic possession with the means of psychotropic drugs. Also, church-approved exorcism was performed on her, according to her wish. According to the court, her death was caused by medical neglect at the wishes of the priest watching over her. The story of her short life, strong faith and exhausting struggle with what seemed to be supernatural powers served as the basis for this horror movie.
