my dad, however was born during the depression and went to war in the phillipines

Sorry, I didn't experience the 70's as a young adult. I did as an old adult. I found the 70's to not be much different from the 60's or the 80's.

I wish I could have enjoyed it more than I did---the sex,drug and rock and roll but only got in on 2 of the 3. By the time I became
a young working adult it was the 80's with AIDS,crack and sample
music.

No, I was in elementary school in the 70s, I would have like to have been a teenager/young adult in the 50s though.

It really wasn't all it is cracked up to be. (was born in the sixties myself) The things you ask about are possible today, you just have to be open to new things, and not worry about what others think. Be true to yourself, and explore new ideas, go places you've never been, try foods you don't think you will like, don't judge others, and so on.

the 70's??? there were only led zeppelin and the black sabath...those were the only goodies..
real metal came in the 80's
i wish i could experience the 80's...i was born in 89.
i wish i could go to guns'n roses concerts in the 80's...ACDC when they had their original lead singer, PANTERA...
+did i say PANTERA??? =) my favorite band..+++the lead singer is hot. too bad the guitarist died =(
