My 28 year old boyfriend has some misdemeanor charges on his record that can be expunged. However, he doesn't work, and therefore doesn't have the money to expunge the charges. It would be easier for him to get the job he wants if he gets the charges expunged. Is it my responsibility to supply him with the funds everytime i get paid so he can get these things expunged?? I think it's his responsibility to be honest, because I didn't do the crimes..why should I have to pay for them...am i being too harsh?

No, you are not being to harsh, you are right, it is not your responsibility, and if you want to help him, he should be greatful, if you don't or can't, he should understand.

No it's not your responsibility, but if your not willing to help him out with this, then you should consider finding another person to be in a relationship with. You obviously care more about money then the relationship, so do your self a favor, and him as well, find some rich guy to be with so your selfish monetary needs will be met!

You have no responsibility to fund your boyfriends anything. He should not be sponging off of you, but should be the one in this relationship that should be trying to improve your and his situation. Tell him you are cutting off the money supply. If he fails to do as you see, DUMP HIM. He would always hold you back..

No tell him to get off his butt and pay for his own mistakes. Who is supporting him now if he doesnt work? Tell him to get any job that he can for now to pay for his own bills and then when the charges are taken off he can always get a better job then.
