I'm new to selling Avon and right now all I have is my family and a couple friends to sell to. Does anyone know any good ways to get customers besides going door to door?

Spread the words. Hold some small demo parties. Start with the friends and family.

There's really nothing to it, I was selling Avon products when I was still in high school and had no problems. All I did was give out a few catalogs let people pick out the things they liked, then they filled out the order forms, I gave them to the main rep, and a week or so later I got thier items back and everyone was happy.

Give your family and friends books to take to their jobs, with your name stamped on the back of course. You could also go to places like your local washateria and leave a couple of books. Our gymnastic facility gets a few books from parents that sell Avon and Pampered Chef laying around. Just sell yourself. Anywhere you are and there is a person, strike up a conversation with them and give them a book! Go to beauty shops also and talk to the ladies there about leaving a couple of books with them, and change them out whenever new ones come out. Sales is hard work, and you have to be a go getter.

I have a neighbor that sells Avon and she does not go door to door . She buys I guess hundreds of books and every month every house in this subdivision gets a book. Her son rides his bike or he uses his skates and hangs the books on the front door knobs and believe it or not some people who dont know her have actually called her to order. Slowly but surely she has now expanded her Avon book drop-off to other subdivisions. I know that the books are not cheap , especially when you are starting but they might just work for you. My neighbors info is printed on the back of the booklet. I have been getting books every month without fail for a good 8 years now. I dont always buy from her , but I have. You might want to try it, I know it's investing a lot of money , but it just might be what gets you going.
Think possitive and in your mind imagine customers coming to you with their orders, with out a doubt you will see them coming in real life and you will soon have a good amount of customers.
Just remember to always be thankfull to GOD.

peace and love your way.

Use the internet tools that AVON now offers, thay can be very helpful.
Stay in contact with the rep that signed you up and ask for pointers as well.
Also try doing discounts on certain products each catalog and offer refferral gifts or incentives to other customers that bring you new clients.

Good luck!

They had three women try avon product called neu its a product that is supposed to tighten up your face all three said they would buy it so start telling people about it (especially older woman) i believe it said it cost 32.00 use that at an avon party.

Friends and family could put the books in their work break rooms. Also, a few books to neighbors that you know fairly well. Ask some small shop owners if you could put a few books on their counter, coin laundries- on the tables with the magazines, oil change places that have magazines to read....
Really places like that.

I would try and use samples to attract sales as well.

Advertise in your lchurch newsletter. It's probably pretty cheap to do - like a business card size ad.

Give a book to everyone you meet in passing. Network, network, network.

Visit an office building and drop books off in the ladies rooms.

Leave books at Dr's office's in reception area.

Post at your local grocery store on the bulletin board.
