My neighbour, who i was friends with before, want to go out with me. I told him many times i don't want anything to do with him since i already have a boyfriend and live with him. Now, he won't leave me alone, come to my house and say mean things to break me and my bf appart, send me letters and flowers at work and keep harceling me. Can i bring him to court for this ? It just wont stop, it's been going on for 6 months and i had enough. If i do bring him to court, what will happen ?

Do get a restraining order, do i have to do to court or can just a regular cop do it ? I don't have much $$ to get a lawyer and go to court for this.

well you could say hes a stalker which i think he is and put a restraining order against him also for harassment. or you could also possible get him for defamation of character if he says damaging things about you, for that check out this website

but im almost positive you can take him to court for harassment and for being a stalker

What he is doing is harrassment; send him a certified letter formally demanding that this behavior cease and desist.

If he continues, you now have a paper trail and legal grounds to justify a restraining order, or, if necessary, have him arrested on charges of stalking.

If he violates a restraining order, he will go to jail; if he's convicted of stalking, he will go to jail for even longer. During this time, it would be to your best benefit to move while he can't track you - preferably out of that city.

Call the cops and file a restraining order, he's stalking you. If you don't do something now or soon he might do something far worse and more dangerous than you can imagine.

Contact your local police department see what they would advise. A restraining order would be a good start.
