It is oblivious that the playstation is more powerful than the xbox 360. First of all the the ps3 is running a 3.2 ghz cell processor. The Xbox 360 is running THREE 3.2GHZ PROCESSORS. An the the Xbox 360 has 512 mb while the ps3 has 256mb. So how can someone say the ps3 is more powerful. Sony is still using the same controller since the first ps. By the way for HD games and movies the ps3 requires hd cords unlike the Xbox 360 already has them. The ps3 is more expensive and like always it does not as durable as nintendo or xbox. Games like Halo 3 and Gears of War are must haves. I forgot to mention Xbox Live. The Xbox 360 does hd in 1080 and by december a download will available to perform these type of resolutions. The 360 gives you the choice to upgrade to HD Movies. Yes the ps3 controller is obviously the same controler they are just giving a fancy new name. Halo 2 was bad??? That is why it sold millions of copies????? Another pro of Xbox 360 is that you can connected to a pc.

The PS3 is simply capable of more. It is more powerful than the 360 without question. The custom cell processor (used only in the PS3), the Blu-Ray capabilities, the sixaxis controller; all make this the more superior technology.
The 360 has more Ram 512 vs. 256 for the PS3, but with the breakdown of the cell processor, this fact is insignificant.
The controller uses the same casing, but as mentioned, it is improved with the sixaxis technology. (minus the rumble feature). It is not the same controller, just the same casing.
The 360 is not capable of producing 1080p (true HD quality picture) cords or no cords and the fact that it is not going to utilize either of the HD formats for games will limit their quality both in picture quality and content.
The PS3 will have its share of bugs, just like the 360 did and anyone who buys a 360 to play Halo3 is nuts (Halo2 was a huge disappointment compared to Halo).

i say PS3 is not released as yet
so how can we judge for now?
obviously PS3 will be more powerful than XBOX360
but all depend on the games available
the games that can exploit the potential of the respective systems
i say wait till PS3 comes out and then there will be a shootout
so hold your horses now, dont go out and buy xbox 360.
At that moment you will have a better idea which one is the one you wanted

Well the PS3 is not out yet here in the US, but I already own the XBox360 and I love it! However, I think the PS3 will be better.
So why torture yourself with choosing I say - buy both!

i dont have a play station 3 yet but play station 2s are good so i think ps3s will be even better
