I have this female friend that i have been close friends with for over 3 years, eventully i became attracted to her and she told me she loves our friendship and does not find me attractive. The problem i was having was getting over her, but i realized it was because my world nearly revolved around her, i also saw that i was not get the mutual treatment as a friend as i treated her. So i would still talk to her , but not run to every event she wantted me to be at and of course kept myself busy with things in life that she may not be able to attend with me. Couple a weeks ago she wantted me to come out with her, but i really did not want to, usually i would just because of her, but i did not this time.... she was upset i guess, and then try to make me jelous... so i think she is upset now... The thing is she is leaving the country for 4 months on Nov. 23rd... and i do not know if i should just suck it up and call her, but keep in mind she has not tried contacting me yet, can you help?

If she is leaving, you should see her to say goodbye. You are doing the right thing by distancing yourself but you should still say goodbye or you will regret it.

You guys have been friends for 3 years and she wants to keep it that way. I think that you still have feelings for her but keep in mind that there are plenty of fish in the sea and there is somebody out there for you. Give her a call and say good-bye. You will not be able to see her for 4 months and the last thing that you want right now is to regret it. Continue to be there for her and be the kind of friend that she wants to have in her life. truth to the matter is that you are merely a friend. if she had said so then no amount of coaxing can ever change that since you've been friends for over 3 years and nothing had happened. stop worrying and start living your life. there are plenty of girls out there whom you can date. there will always be someone who will fall in love with you. give yourself a chance.

it would hurt to give her a call. i know you have feelings for her and it sounds like she dose for you. don't let her leave with out talking with her. you never know what might happen down the road so give in and call. you don't want to regreat it down the road. I hope this helps.
