I was a little wary about voting on those new machines they had at the voting polls, knowing they can be hacked. I didn't want to really use those machines at the voting polls but that's all they had there. I prayed to God that my vote would count for the people I voted for and that there would be no problems with the machines. All the stories I heard of to discourage voters, particularly in the black community really pissed me off. I mean is that what it has come to with these politics, just think if they are doing that are we all really safe with our Government. I'm a black female and I voted for the lesser of two evils.

Well, I can't say voting was trouble free for me. Instead of the old ballot boxes, our district got gigantic scan-tron sheets (and I mean HUGE!) to fill out. The officials, if somewhat scatterbrained, managed OK. No one called me except to ask me to vote for their issue and their candidates - and I hung up on those folks. I can make up my own mind through research - I don't need a telemarketer to tell me how to vote. Voter turnout was huge in my district - and I was SO happy to see that. If you don't vote, you have no right to complain about the way things turn out. My vote did count, and I choose to remain optimistic that, despite its flaws, the voting system still works - maybe that's idealist, but what the hey. I can't be a cynic all the time. I'm overall happy that Congress is in the hands of the left - we need that to balance the overall GOP power in the executive and judicial branches. I hope now we begin to see some positive changes!

Not really. Proposal 2 passed and Terri Lynn Land got re-elected, but not a complete dissapointment.

Not happy how it turned out but it was fair. I just don't know why people vote on the past and not the future.
