For income $19,000, married filing jointly, two or more kids (EIC doesn't change for any kids over the second), EIC last year would have been $3841. This number is from the EIC tables - they're in several IRS publications, but I looked in the 1040 instructions downloaded at irs.gov - the table starts on page 52.

The maximum credit for 2006 is $11,340. it depends on your earned income.
