Hey, I have learned something a long time ago while I was married.
When a man lies, he ALWAYS has red on the top of his ears.
Serious! watch his ears. and his eyes.

You will be able to tell. If you really know your man you will know. If your hands get cold he is probably lying. If your hands get warm or hot he is probably telling the truth. Try it and see for yourself. Like one of the other people said ask questions you know the answer to. Then try some you don't know the answers to. Good luck.

How do you know when anyone is telling you the truth? Much of what goes in to a relationship is blind trust. If that trust is bruised by lies that have been discovered, the person being lied to is going to doubt, evaluate and be suspicious of whatever comes out of their partners mouth.
Below is a good website giving you physical behaviors of someone who is lying to you. Good information to know when dealing with all people in various situations.

how can he tell you are telling the truth - there is not definitive answer. If you do not believe his answer than he is not your man. Move on.

If you are having to ask then something might be wrong in your relationship. In my relationship my husband doesn't lie to me. I trust him completely! But I have been in relationships in which I was being lied to, and I knew it. I would always have this gut feeling like something was going on and I was usually right! They usually look guilty when they are telling a lie!

check up if you need to ask
does he itch his nose when telling you something or answer a ? with a ?
does the tone of his voice change (gets higher?)
does he blink more when answering certain things?

no eye contact
he looks to his left side when he makes an emphatic statement
his mouth cringes or he makes an unusual gesture with his face or body
you start doubting. :)

There is no way.... anyone can be a good liar. If you really know him then observe him and see how he is acting... trust your womanly intuition...

Look in his eyes. This may take time but if you know him you will know his eyes.
