I had an old version of itunes , where I had a library of music. I have upgraded and now I cant seem to get my old library music. Have I lost it? or Is there a way I can retrieve it? Please help. I had a lot of nice music there, that I would really like to have back and added to the upgraded version. Thanks for all your help.

Peace and Love your way.

I have checked my itunes folders but only the new version with the new songs comes up. I cannot find the old folders from the music I previously had there before the upgrade.

normally, all your itunes music saves itself automatically in a folder in your documents named 'itunes', so then, all you need to do is go on 'add music from folder', and click on 'itunes'. hope this helped you! ( =

It's still there! You just have to find it and that is the tricky part. Try doing a search for "iTunes Music". That will find the folder that has all of your songs on it. You need to copy everything in that folder to your new iTunes Music folder.

The music may still be on your computer. If you bought it from iTunes then it will be in your 'My Music' folder in a sub folder called 'iTunes' and then in various subfolders in there that are named after the artists and then in those folders they may be in folders named after the album or the single.

Have you tried importing the songs from those folders? If not, open iTunes, go to File>Import. Good luck
