As with the "100 days contract with America" time will tell the citizens of the US whether or not the Democrats can make it better. There is always hope but, quite frankly, I don't believe one political party can satisfy everyone. If Y!A still exists in 8 years, I will be very interested to read the opinions of the Democrats especially if a Democratic President is elected. Remember why we elected so many Republicans? We hoped for better solutions.

Legitimate question. I have been asking not only this morning, but for the last several months. It is true that the Democrats have a platform, but they have not really campaigned on it choosing instead to take the tact of Republicans bad as their primary slogan. I am waiting for Democrats to explain how they will accomplish their agenda. The fact that most of it is unworkable and will be vetoed if presented is a problem that they don't seem concerned with. They are celebrating this morning which is understandable, but I wonder if they really understand that people did not vote for Democrats, but rather against Republicans? Here is what to expect from the next 2 years stalemate and government gridlock. Unless the Democrats actually get out of hate mode and make the attempt to work to the real benefit of all Americans.

Thats a good question. Im a dem but i can't lie they have been talking a lot. Let's see what happens in the house because we have a republican pres. but a democratic house now. I see a lot of controversy in the near future

The Dems have never been secretive about their intentions. This has been a Rep ploy to discredit the Dems all along. The change will start with the Dems holding the Reps to a high standard of accountability based on recent actions. The Dems will then force issues such as the war in Iraq, the economy, immigration, national health care, etc...

Think with an open mind. You might discover something important.

Well, the tactic for the next two years is to blame the president for the lack of progress. If the republicans win in 2008, more of the same. If the democrats win in 2008, they'll blame the Bush years for giving them such an awful legacy to put right as an excuse for not doing anything except raising taxes. Sound about right?

Well, for starters,....they are going to try to kill more babies with abortion, allowing them up to 2 years old.

Then,... They will take all the hard working Americans more, to give to those that sit on their can all day unemployeed and uninsured.

Then,... They will then kill the strongest economy we've ever had,..heck, the stock market is already down on the first day,...and as far as the world market,....(don't even look).

Then,... they will give the state of Texas and New Mexico to the illegal immigrants. They won't even have to sign the guest book on the way in!

We will then run and hide from Iraq hoping that the terrorist will be good while we are gone.

Gay marriage will legal in all 50 states.

Things are really looking up! I can't wait!
