not often, but occasionally, like when he cleans himself, my piggie's eyes will have a little bit of white liquid oozing out his eyes. the vet doesnt know what it is, because he hasnt seen the pig clean itself whenever we go to the vet. what should i do?

He's just fine. That's the color of his tears that moisten their eyes, and they use it to bathe with also. The first time I saw it I thought something was wrong too. Don't use that vet any more. He is not schooled in exotic pets or he would have told you what it was. Find one that is.
My piggies are all over 6 years old now. These webs will help you give the piggie the care he needs to stay healthy.

Piggie Dude is correct. This is natural. Nothing is wrong with your Guinea Pig. The natural cleaning fluid is usually all used up when it cleans himself but sometimes there's too much and you'll see the leftovers.

I also recommend http://www.guinealynx.info/forums/ It's an excellent place for information. I'm the lucky mama of two GP's myself and this forum has been an invaluable place for information on how to keep my boys happy and healthy.

Piggy allergies maybe? I have 2 piggys never seen anything like that. Have you tried changing the bedding or maybe food or water?
Might be worth a try ...Good luck!

Piggie Dude is completely correct. He said everything I was going to say and recommended the best sites, too!
