I don't think there is a certain age for love, it just happens. I felt in love for the first time when I was 14, at least I felt like it was love. However, I know a girl who is 18 and has yet to love a man. She is head strong and focused on school. I would say we develop our crushes, but it's up to each individual on how far they might take it and this would determine if it develops into love or not. Ahh the unexplained magic of love!

They only think they're in love. Teens have raging hormones that cause them to begin to see what love may feel like, but it's infatuation because they have to experience things in life first. It takes time and experiences to know what you really want so you can find the right person. Really really being in love and knowing what love is doesn't come until way later down the road. Love isn't a matter of age..it's a matter of the heart. I've raised 5 kids...and love for them came at various ages in their lives. I've learned that teenage love...is just that! More of a puppy love or an infatuation. As to how they react? I've learned that it is different with each child and their own unique personality. The one thing that connected each of my kids about love.....they were on the phone constantly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
