Just remember and enjoy your feelings now,for they are just people who are in a business built on lies, and deception-politicians.
one of the few things bush baby did was put into place a tax cut, which now the winning demos have all said they will pull the plug on which means higher taxes.
Also I cant wait til they also do nothing maybe then ,but no this has been going on too long.Ok the demos are in power its like masturbation without the payoff.

I am very happy about the House of Reps, but I will be more excited if the Dems manage to take the Senate. However, it is important to note that the Dems won yesterday by running many conservative democratic candidates. I dont know how that will affect gays in the future.

In Colorado we have mixed feelings.
On the plus side:
Bill Ritter the democrat (albeit "moderate") took the governors seat beating right wing congressman Bob "never saw a Bush proposal he didn't vote for" Beauprez who left his seat open for another Dem to come take it.
Arapohoe County, the conservative suburb of Denver, also elected openly gay Doug Milliken for treasurer who also ran against a right wing conservative.
On the down side:
Amendment 43 (gay- marriage ban) passed.
Referendum I (domestic partnerships) lost.
Marilyn Musgrave (Anita Bryant of 2006) won another 2 years in congress.
People claim to be more open minded nowadays until they are left to their own devices in the privacy of a voting booth.
Am I happy? Sort of yes, kind of not.
2008 still awaits.

i'm excited. i'm excited that some actual nuts have been defeated. i'm excited that $300M, a cable information station, a say something to get elected attitude could no longer purchase an election. i'm excited that voter suppression could no longer win the state of Florida. in certainty, i'm somewhat excited.

I seem to recall that the Defense of Marriage Act had a lot of support from both Democrats and Republicans. Wasn't it Bill Clinton himself who signed it into law? I don't see how the gay community is any better off no matter who is in power.

Very pleased with the outcome. Here in Missouri ousted a conservative senator and approved stem cell research. My hope is to the Democrats don't mess things up in the next two years.

Not really I do not think we will get what we need from any of our elected officials.
