Unfortunately there are none.It is all trial and error. Mother instinct should kick in, if not...I never believed in following a book. You are the Mom and you make the final decisions. But it doesn't hurt to get little tips. Penelope Leach was awesome in advice. I didn't get it from her personally, but I had her books. http://www.babycenter.com/expert/p69.html She's a wonderful British woman that had (don't know if it's still on air) that I followed to a tee. I am thankful for her. The way my parents and grand parents raised us was bad trials and error...LOL. Penelope explains things so that what you decide you know you've made the right decision. (my mom's methods I wasn't sure of, but Penelope explains things in such detail, I was able to decide, this is right, or that isn't right.) Good luck and Congrats. Remember they can make you crazy, happy and sad all at once, so your frustrations are normal.

Sleep when they sleep, always accept help when you can, wipe warmers are a waste of money, baby is crying dont know what else to do take a car ride with some soothing music (it will do you both some good).

Oh yea and MOST important... TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES!!!

Read lots of different books and get advice from lots of people and then do what works best for you and your baby. Even different doctors have differing opinions. There is usually no wrong or best answer.

I try to make it fun and make it a game to find out what works best for my baby and me. Good luck to you!

Be patient because your baby has none... sleep when they sleep, DON'T DO EVERYTHING YOURSELF let your family and friends help you. Any suggestions that anyone gives you, just nod and say thank you!
