What people don't understand, is during the trial for impeachment, if Bush were found guilty, Cheney would be found guilty of C.A.H. also, and would Not become the next President.
Is this why people are afraid to attempt to impeach Bush? If an investigation began for impeachment process, we could all see Cheney is the puppet master.
Unfortunately, the Dem's are having to battle a deeply embedded evil power that goes beyond Bush. Things will only get worse.

No - unlike the Republicans leadership, Nancy Pelosi is focused on the goals of the party and pushing her agenda. Impeaching Bush might look good, but it won't help her agenda. Besides, she has already said she will not push for impeachment of this President (even if lying to Congress is a high crime and misdemeanor)
For 12 years the Republicans only agenda was to crush the Democrats. Not really an agenda at all - just a way to divert attention from taking care of real problems.

No. Impeachment would be symbolic as they donot have the votes in the senate to convict. They would need 67 Dems unlike rethugs are smart enough not to waste their time on empty gestures.
They will concentrate on oversight, stopping the war looting, stopping the junta from packing the courts with reactionary judges and moving toward universal health care.

Oh, there's no doubt that the Democrats will trump up every possible charge against Bush to impeach him. Nancy Pelosi, the new Speaker of the House, has already sworn as much. It is the start of a regular cycle of revenge for what the Republicans did to Clinton, which was in retaliation for what the Democrats did to Nixon, which was . . .
We have started our own cycle of vendetta in politics. Bipartisanship has gone the way of the dinosaurs, and politics from now on is going to be nothing less than a vulgar brawl in a cesspool.
Our representative have stopped representing THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ELECTED THEM, and now only represent the special interests who bought them by paying for their campaigns. The next few years are going to suck rocks in America.

Investigate, and let the chips fall where they may.
If things were criminally done, then impeachment is warranted. If everything checks out OK, at least the investigation was conducted to find the truth.
There are alot of questions on background intelligence, fraud in government contracts, handling of Iraqi money, lobbying influences.

I doubt it. Even if the house did vote for articles of impeachment the senate would have to vote to convict. That requires a 2/3 majority, which the dems won't have. Even if all 51 dem senators voted to convict they would have to convince 17 rep senators to go along and that would be a tough sell.

No, the last thing we need is a damn impeachment. Let Dubya serve his last 2 years, rein him in as much as possible, try to get the moron to listen to someone other than Rummy, Dick and God and pray he doesn't vaporize the world before Jan 20, 2009. That date marks the end of the disastrous administration in 100 years. Bush makes Warren Harding look like FDR.

I don't think so (at least not right away), but he better start behaving! I don't think the Democrats will waste time and money on it (like the Republicans did with Clinton) unless Bush continues to disregard the Constitution. The foxes are no longer guarding the henhouse...

another thing.will you people get it straight between being impeached by the house and convicted by the senate?

I don't think he'll be impeached, but I do hope they try to over throw some of the new Nazi laws that he's put into effect.
