Hi there...here are the many benefits of having a pet:
Pets Help to Lower Blood Pressure A recent study at the State University of New York at Buffalo found that people with hypertension who adopted a cat or dog had lower blood pressure readings in stressful situations than did those who did not own a pet.
Pets Help to Reduce Stress Walking with a pet helps to sooth nerves and offers instant relaxation. Studies conducted worldwide have shown that the impact of a stressful situation is lesser on pet owners, especially males, than on those who do not own a pet.
Pets Help to Prevent Heart Disease Because pets provide people with faithful companionship, research shows they may also provide their owners with greater psychological stability, thus a measure of protection from heart disease.
Pets Help to Lower Health Care Costs People with pets actually make fewer doctor visits, especially for non-serious medical conditions.
Pets Help to Fight Depression Pets help fight depression and loneliness, promoting an interest in life. When seniors face adversity or trauma, affection from pets takes on great meaning. Their bonding behavior can foster a sense of security.

Keeping Pets=They entertain us, we teach them to go fetch and we get a big ear to ear smile the first time they return the ball to us. They are great for either a family or someone that lives alone. Pets are great for calming the stress of a long day. The are good bed warmers on a cold winters night, especially if your husbands mad and sleeping on the couch ( just a little humor there). We have two choc. labs and our house dog is a tiny yorkie. Guess who's is who's? I love all my dogs, but Sophie is my baby. When we get started talking about our pets either dogs or cats, we can get carried away.
Some of us can even love our animals so much than when they die a piece of us goes with them. I have had my share of heartbreaking moments with pets, but as you can see I still go back for more, because there are more happy times you get with them than sad ones. So get you a dog, cat, etc and enjoy that once in a lifetime UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FROM A FURY FRIEND. Oh and before you decide to buy your pet check with the local shelters for pet adoptions. You will be surprised at how many need a good home. Another consideration is what type of housing you have and this will determine the size of animal you get. Also do you have a back yard that is fenced to contain what ever animal you decide on? Never put you loved on in a small cage outside or on a chain. That is cruel. A kennel for the day and out when you get home is fins and that is for the safety of the animal... Ok it time for me to stop....

Benefits - Researches have proved that people having pets have lower chances of suffering from high blood pressure as the harmones relating to love and affection is secreted when we are with pets and so it keeps u healthy and fit.
But, dont U believe attacking the freedom of a poor animal like parrot or some other birds for just your fun and entertainment and that too for the whole life is too inhuman. Why we dont let them be as they are and let them be free ?

Companionship, unconditional love, a way to enforce exercise if you hate it, I have seen a documentary regarding pets in the home & an owner with dog were wired for monitoring vital signs while sitting together with the owner petting the pet - both subjects blood pressure dropped - so, the conclusion was pets help to keep you healthy by lowering blood pressure. How bout that?!

Pets are great company, especially is you live alone! They are always thrilled when you arrive home and they are a great example of unconditional love. I can have an awful day and come home to them and they always cheer me up. I also think pets are theraputic, I guess that is why dogs are so often taken to nursing homes and hospitals to visit patients.

pets are problematic for those who suffer from allergies like asthma etc., especially cats. Buy studies have shown that if kids are exposed to pets at an early age, the risk of acquiring allergies like asthma in future become less for them.
