I do it because it's easier than climbing the stairs. Makes it easy to be lazy.

No but when I had got a new cell phone I used to call my mom up in the next room but then bills started to mount but I still do if she is out of shouting range

When my brother was at uni, he once asked me to ring him at a certain time to make sure he got up to go to an exam. That's the only time I've ever woken anyone up in this way.

Nope...cant say that I do. My kids have learned, at a very early age, to get themselves up and to make their own breakfast and school lunches. If kids get late for school they get reprimanded at school...they dont like that much and learn to NOT be late.

It teaches them to be in control of their own life......why do you want to take on such a role anyway? It teaches them nothing but how to be dependent. Let them be late....let them learn how to organise their own lives....let them learn what pride is...within themselves.

No, I honestly never thought of it, but it is a great idea!! I will definitely try that tomorrow and see if it works any better than screaming at the top of my lungs....thanx.

Yes, I do but we are in different houses! He has four alarm clocks now, though.

I don't see the problem with doing it in the same house, though if it doesn't go against your minutes.
