Doesn't seem possible but the docs always tell you there's a minute chance an egg will still make it into the tubes and get fertilized. I don't see how either.

Well, without getting the procedure reversed, there is still a small percentage of people who still get pregnant with this procedure (less than 1%). It seems in some women, the egg manages to get past the ties and enter the uterus and be fertilized. Men having their tubes fixed seems to be more effective (like 99.8%).

The Dr. told me that a tubal reversal was slim to none that I would get pregnant. I went thru the invitro process but was unsuccessful. Now I am looking into egg donation since I just turned 40. I hear the success rate is a little higher.

You can have the procedure reversed but the chances of getting pregnant will be less than if they were never tied. If they are just tied, and not burnt, then the chances improve.

it's rare, but it does happen. usually the pregnancy will will be in the fallopian tube & not be viable.
ironically, i just had my tubes untied this past january. 2 wks later i got pregnant and we had a boy 18 days ago.

they take eggs out, fertilize them and then implant one in you.
