When I die, on my death bed, I will receive total consciousness. So, I go that going for me, which is nice.
I learned that from the Dali Llama.

I live choose to live with a "Pay it Forward" mentality.
Do kind things and be kind just to be kind ( to people, animals, places, and things.)
Hopefully the person you help or are kind to will return the favor to someone else.
To me that is the best type of thank you there is!
Treat everyone with patience ( to people, animals, places, and things.) is another principle that I live by.
I teach the same to my 6 children.
I never learned them from anyone---- These are the principles I chose myself because I believe the world will change one person at a time. When enough people "Pay It Forward" the world will be a better place.

One has to live and learn the principles of moral, justice, truth, kindnes, etc which are basics. These are taught first by parents, then teachers, then experience during the course of life.Religious teachings and its adherence brings these qualities in everybody. These qualities get refined as ones capability to understand and analyse improves with education and practical experience.

Cliche wise, honesty is the best policy. The one I use the most is the one my Mom taught me, "kill 'em with kindness" is what she always used to say. If someone was not nice to you if you did that nine time out of ten they would become "nicer" to you. It really works and it makes you realize that sometimes people have a valid reason for acting the way they do. Trying to understand is way better than a war of wits and words!

What goes around comes around
If you can't say anything good - don't say anything at all
Do unto others..as you would want them to do unto you
Don't sweat the small stuff
Appreciate every single day - every single blessed moment
SEE the miracles around you
Count blessings not defeats (and see the blessings that are sometimes in defeat)
Where did I learn it? Might have been told to me by parents or grandparents...but I learned it by living my life.

I hate liars and manipulators. I am open and honest and I expect others to be as well. If not, there is no place for them in my life. Do unto others...
Some from the Bible, but mostly just knowing how I want to be treated and how others deserve to be treated.
