I do think that though it has been kept in abeyance due to technological advances and improved health care, it holds good and perhaps the next big curb is around the corner .. what do you think?

no, technological advances (the green revolution) are not growing arithematically, but are able to meet population growth

the technological complexities in today's society make it even more relevant....increases in efficiency leads to the use of more resources.
