Its a small laptop mouse with USB receiver. The batteries are inserted correctly and it lights up just fine. after putting the USB receiver into the USB port, I push the button on the mouse and hold it in,but nothing. I have tried pushing the button on the USB receiver, and still nothing.what do you suggest. Im on windows XP and the mouse is from hong kong-welcome ISO electronics shop

you need to take the batteries out of the mouse for 30 mins, push and hold the button on the receiver for 20 seconds.
replace batteries, press the button on the receiver for 2 seconds then immediately press the connect button on the mouse it should then work. you may have to press the receiver button and mouse connect to set it.
(You are just resetting the channels)

The wireless link may not be working properley. Check the mouse on another cmputer to eliminate the usb port.

Check for a mini hole in the back, if there is one poke it with a paperclip for 5 seconds, see if that works.

Your xp should pick it right up.It maybe junk.Did a cd come with it you might have to down load something. But like i said earlier your xp should of picked it right up

Maybe you need to check for a driver. Look in you control panel in category view (not classic view).
