Text scroller, can't change colour, any suggestions?

Question

I basically want to change the colour of the scrolling text without having to change the colour of the link beneath. (see link beneath)

So A) how can i remove the button that seems to be effecting the scroller, i've tried with no luck, and B) get control over the colour of the text itself. So i can selectively choose what colour i need.

Are you doing it in HTML? If you edit in notebook, the existing colour (dark red) is designated by #990000. If you do the text you need to add, just go in and set the colour code to whatever other colour you need.
