Try some bleach diluted in water when you rinse out the bottles. Bleach is a sodium base, and breaks down in heat/water/air, making it non-toxic in the end.

That how we always cleaned all our dishes. A sink of soapy water with some bleach in it. It gets the dishes much cleaner, and results in a quicker drying process which reduces residue.

My son has been on soy formula since a couple weeks old, and he's 9 months now. I've had no trouble, but I make sure to rinse them as soon as he is done, so that when I wash them, there's no problem.

I don't have a dishwasher, but my sister-in-law does, and she puts my neice's bottles through it and she'll wait to wash them until there is a full load. Then when they come out, there is sometimes a film on the inside. She is on regular formula.

So it may just be the dishwasher. Try washing them by hand and see if you have the same problem.

My son is also on soya milk as he is lactose intolerant.
I fill up my sink with really hot soapy water and leave the bottles to soak for 10 mins, then I really scrub them with a bottle brush, it takes me about five mins to wash his six bottles and teats but it gets rid of the resedue.
