L.T. no doubt. Larry Johnson is still young but he will be the next best running back.

Tomlinson, without a doubt. He the pick of every sports analyst in the nation, and for good reason. There hasn't been a more feared back in the nfl since Walter Payton. Teams focus their entire gameplan around stopping #21 every game, and he still gets huge numbers, you don't see that with any other back in the league. Not only is he the best all-around player in the game, but he's by far the best pure running back in the game today. Moves like Sanders, he's as versatile as Payton, and can break tackles like Brown.

At this present time, in my opinion, the best OVERALL running back would be LT. (Tomlinson).

As for power backs, I think Larry Johnson has that crown.

Tiki Barber, I feel, could be a much better back statistically if they didn't have so many other weapons on the team. LT steals the show becasue he gets so many more looks and touches.

LT and LJ do rack up alot of points, but the best RB in the league is Tiki Barber. He does so much for that team every sunday, he leads the league i beleive in rushing or is very close and also catches alot of balls. All that work and down near the goal line they give it to the big man Jacobs for the TD. I Tiki would get it near the goal line and got some TDs theres no quesion he would be the best RB. And by the way giants, for all of that talk about Tiki Barber being a destraction is BS. You knew it was coming bc hes been talking about it for years now and without him your team would have like 2 wins bc jeremey shockeys and eli manning crying dont get u too far. ( i give credit to Plax tho lol)

LaDainian Tomlinson FOR SURE. And I don't like all that "best all around" crap. Yes he is multi-talented; running, catching, and passing, but he's the best running back in the league. He has the just right combo of power and strength. He can plow through the line, he can leap over them into the endzone, and he can use his awesome vision to make cuts like no one since Barry Sanders has made.

Not to take anything away from Rivers, but I'd love to see what guys like Peyton and Brady(/them & their teams) could do with a back like LT.

I agree with cicilass. LT is a fitness freak who earns every yard that he gains. I am not a SD fan and used to think that LT was not legit until I saw that piece that ESPN did on LT inviting Bush to train with him (when Reggie Bush as at USC) and LT had Bush throwing up 5 minutes into the workout. That happened after Bush had just won the Heisman as the best back in college. Amazing.

Not only is Ladainian Tomlinson the best RB in the NFL, he gets my vote for best player in the NFL period. This guy is a machine! Wish I had him in either of my FF leagues.
