which anime do you think has had a good twist in the end or in the plot?

For example when you find out in Evangelion Rei is an angel whos perpouse is destroy the world, or in Rahxephon when you find out that the girl Ayato is always drawing that he calls Mishima is actually Haruka when she was young before the whole Jupiter Tokyo thing happened. Which anime have you seen that has a good twist in it?

Great Question!!! I could go on forever, but here are a few:

1. FullMetal Alchemist, when you find out how the Philosopher's Stone is made, and when Alphonse is the stone.

2. Fruits Basket, when you find out what the Sohmas are really hiding.

3. Gundam Seed, the twist in the truth behind Kira and Cagalli's parents (and the fact they are brother and sister!).

4. Naruto, when Sauske joins Orochimaru, and you discover the truth from Sauske's past. If only we could find out who Naruto's dad really is...

I mean, most of the show is about values and suffering and family and loyalty and corruption, and then the whole deal with the homunculi and all...
Anyways, Edward is so upset with his Dad for leaving and most likely causing her death, then when they finally reconcile with each other, he finds out that one of the homunculi, Envy, is his father's 'son'. Then Envy kills him, and it's so sad. Plus, with Alphonse becoming the stone that they've spent the last thirty-something episodes searching for makes for a pretty sharp twist, too.
