You can feel it in his kiss.

I think maybe that IS his feeling. He may be telling that he isn't in love. It aso may be important to know how long you've been together and how old you are. It is sometimes well worth the wait to hear someone say how much they care for you. Hearing it too soon is often a sure sign it's not real or that the person doesn't know what it is. There is certainly nothing wrong with asking him how he feels about you. Especially if you are or are thinking of engaging in activities that are usually reserved for committed relationships (travel, sex, cohabitation). If it's really important - don't leave it to chance - ask him.

I've been married 20 years and my wife never says the words I love you unless I ask , it is bothersome because I'd like to hear them once in a while . She obviously loves me and shows it in her actions and treatment but I don't hear those words and it is bothersome . I would have thought it more of a man thing but apparently not because I'm in the same boat . I also have to initiate almost any contact , it bothers me but I've just gotten used to it because she doesn't seem apt to change . Funny though when we first met she was the more aggressive of the two of us in establishing a relationship. But her actions show love so I accept that .

Saying, "I love you" doesn't mean they love you. Some people say it to everybody they know. My 16 year old son says it to every girl he knows, He means it in a casual friend way.You can tell someone loves you by the way they treat you.
Do he try to make you happy?
Care about what you think and what you want to do?
Is he happy when good things happen to you?
His actions speak louder than words.
Some people find it ackward to say, I love you, even if they truely do.

His actions are the proof. Does he treat you like he loves you? Some people are not very good at expressing their emotions. Is he like that with everyone? Has he ever told you he loved you? If he is just someone who isn't doesn't verbalize his emotions and if the way he treats you makes you feel loved, then I'd say he does love you.

If he's not saying it, he's not feeling it. Stop pushing. He's not in love with you.
