No, influence is not necessarily a conscious effort on the "influencer" - Also unfortunately, the "influenceie" is it not always conscious of how they were influenced

The list is infinite...what ever comes into your mind.

The key to "influence" another PERSON is the subsebility of the person to be influenced. At what state of mind is that person in making them ready to accept your influence.
The influenser definitely has "conscious effort on the "influencer"
for whatever agenda he may have...even if only to expound his personal view point.

it is not always a concious thing and the things that they so are say things repeatedly to make you believe it and things like tell you that you are always wrong about stuff so that they gain your trust to tell you anything and you will believe it
