I know it is different for everyone, and there are factors such as age and what not that could affect it, but how long did it take for you to fall pregnant??? My husband and I have been trying 3 months so far....we are both in our 20s and capable of conceiving....so I just want to know about how long it should take, as well as how long it took you when you started trying to conceive?!! Thank you!!!

It does take everyone a different amount of time.. Did you recently get off the pill? If so, it could take up to 8 months. My husband and I "tried" for 11 months before getting pregnant but I am 37 and he is 41. My doctor gave me a tip, " Do not get up after making love, lay there for about an hour. With your feet up on the headboard if possible." Sounds funny but it worked for us. The doctor says that when we get right up it does not allow the sperm to get to the egg and when we pee right after we do not realize it but we also push most of the sperm right out.. Not really fair when there are all these teen unwanted pregnancies now is it... Well, give it a try and good luck... Hey, we are currently trying for another and "trying" is most of the fun right????

First child took 15 days exactly, I think it was mostly an issue of when ovulation happened. The second one, I didn't get pregnant until we actually tried to get pregnant. However before that we were having sex (no protection, no pulling out) for almost a year. When we started trying (actually counting and having sex during ovulation) it took about a month. My advice, count 14 days after the first day of your period and have sex on that day and the days that follow. You'll most likely have a girl.

i am going to tell you the same thing i just told a friend of mine and her husband, go about your normal daily activity and dont think about getting pregnant and tell yourselves that you are going to take a one month or more break from trying but still do your daily baby dancing routine. Also maybe try having sex every other day and not every day someone told me they charted their ovulation for 8 months and never got lucky but they had sex every other day and conceived within a month i hope this helps a bit

Why do people always say "fall pregnant"? its not a disease, you dont "fall" sick with it. You become or get pregnant.

Anyway, it can take up to 8 months or a year for a healthy young couple to concieve.

When ovum and sperm are in the body at the same time, theres only a 89% chance that fertalization and conception will occure. The ovum (or egg) is only viable for 24-36 hours each cycle. It takes time to hit the right days.

Jsut relax, enjoy having sex, and dont try to MAKE yourself get pregnant. You will only make it harder. You will be pregnant soon enough if you just relax and have sex when it sounds fun. :)

I know every woman is different. i had my tubes tied back in 1997. i remarried 3 yrs ago and we decided to get a tubal reversal. we scheduled the surgery for jan.12 of this year. beginning Nov of 05, i cut out recreational drinking ad caffiene and began taking prenatal vitamins. i had my surgery and was pregnant 2 wks later. we just had our baby boy 18 days ago. might i suggest preparing your body first before you even begin TTC. also after sex, i used a "fertility pillow" for 45 minutes.. you can also just use 2 regular pillows and keep your butt propped up after sex for at least 30 minutes. i really think all of these factors contributed to my getting pregnant so quickly
best of luck to you

it only takes a second... It's all about trying to coordinate all the powers that be.... lots of sex is the only way - stay focused, keep training a minimum of three times a week ... Good luck
