I have seen alot of Republican whining today. America (Democrats AND Republicans) have spoken! Why do you think so many "red" states went "blue"? Can't you see Bush has failed our troops? How many more need to die? Bush has ignored the Geneva convention, supported torture, lied, failed Katrina victims and has embarrassed the US with his stunning stupidity. It is now a matter of making a change. It is time for both parties to work together now that we have restored checks and balances. We need to work on getting our troops out of Iraq and bringing back the respect that we have lost! What is so hard to understand?

Smitty, I would like to know why people like you always think Democrats are willing to give in to terrorism? The whole "terror alert" crap seems to be the only platform republicans have. Scare Americans into voting Republican. It DIDN'T work, even Republicans are waking up. Do you think all the troops in Iraq are Republican? Do you have less respect or care for the ones that are Democrat? Grow up.

Buffman, yet another whiner, FYI, I don't want to decrease security in the US and I as far as abortion that is an individual choice, not mine. Truly what are we gaining in Iraq? Bin Laden ISN'T there, Bush needs to wipe the oil and $ signs out of his eyes. We'd be more secure if our troops are HERE to protect us. How many more need to die to justify Iraq?

Justawondering, again, here we go, because I want our troops out of Iraq and think our president is a failure, it means I don't care that your son died? I am VERY sorry and saddened that we are losing troops every day, and for what!? We went over originally to get Bin Laden, HE ISNT THERE!!, Then it was WMD's, none, OH, now it is "Liberating the Iraqi people", THEY don't want us there!!! How many excuses are you willing to accept. Damn it! I don't want anymore troops to die and don't assume that I haven't had anyone killed in Iraq.

I am a Republican and I get it. The people have spoken and democracy is the name of the game. Not to take away from the Democrats' victories or anything, but I am afraid that people voted for "anything but the same ol' same ol'." I still have yet to hear what the "new direction" is that the Democrats are planning to lead us in. Quite frankly, I don't think the Republicans had a plan and I don't think the Democrats have a plan. The Democrats now have control of the House back after 12 years. It's a cycle, it always happens that way. I am not one of those whining Republicans. My congratulations to the winners all around!!

And, how many Dems were whining 2 years ago? Just because the Dems won this election, does it change the fact that this nation is one of 'free speech'? Nope.
The statement, 'Bush has failed our troops' is totally uncalled for. Unless you have a family member in the military, don't tell this Proud Army Mama how the CIC has failed my son. The very ones who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their Country would be very disappointed in some of your views. Unlike previous wars, this was an ALL Volunteer Military. Our sons, daughters, husbands and wives CHOSE to serve and we should applaud each and every one.
Ignored the Geneva Convention? Give me a break. Have you seen the videos of our children being beheaded? Raped? Tortured? I challenge you to watch even one and then tell me about 'rules of engagement'. You can't fight terrorists with one hand tied.
Failed Katrina victims? Geesh, where did one man learn to control the weather? How many times can people be told to 'leave' when a hurricane is approaching? I saw a man with tears in his eyes, stating, 'the buck does stop here'. How is that failure?
Make a change? Sure....you pick up a weapon and walk down the streets in Ar Ramadi, Al Asad or Al Taqaddum Iraq.
Until you do, don't tell this Mom who has lost a son, that his death was a 'failure'.

When I vote, and the election does not follow my vote, I have a right to complain, but not quite yet, they don't take office until January. I am not so concerned about the National election, unless the Dems take the Senate too. I am stuck here in the peoples republic of Taxachusetts, almost every office held by a Democrat. On those occasions where we have a Republican Governor, he/she is easily overridden by the legistalor. Now they don't even have to waste time with such formalities. The people of Massachusetts have forgotten the last time the had this situation (The Dukakis years) The state bond rating was in the toilet, murders were being pardoned (about 50 in one 4 year span alone). The Republicans have themselves to blame. Too many skeleton's in those closets.

I am a Republican and when I went to the polls yesterday, my name and my daughter's name had been removed from the roster. The lady behind the desk said that all day long they had people complaining that their names were not there. I asked if they were Republicans and she said as a matter of fact they were. The supervisor looked very nervous that we were complaining so loudly about not being given the opportunity to vote just because our names were not written in the books. So he gave us a form to fill out for our information data and gave us a ballot that would be "sent to the board of elections office to be reviewed" . I then asked if our votes would be counted since the day was over and by the time it gets to the office and reviewed, it may be too late. The poll supervisor said "I don't know what to tell you.". What do you make of this?? I don't believe my votes were counted. Isn't this called being "Disenfranchised"?
I think Jasonbztz was exactly right! Except I have a feeling he was being sarcastic and didn't know he was right. The Dems really did tamper with the voting at least in my area.

The Democrats are going to ruin the thriving economy that have now by raising minimum wage. Once they raise it jobs and hours will be cut therefore that is less money going into the economy. Bush is not a failure there has never been a President put in the situations that he was in. We didn't ask for terrorist to bomb us but they did and if you think that the government had something to do with us you need to go to a shrink so they can clense the brain washing. I do agree with you on one thing though the parties need to join together insteed of pointing fingers so we can get something done. If the ivestigations start on the republicans there will be no time for either party to look out for the best intrest of the amderican people. Lets hope that doenst happen.

If it is just Bush failing our troops then why did 6 out of 8 Iraq vets NOT win their office?? Katrina victims, all though should have been handled better, can be directly linked to their wonder full local Democrats in office. They bungled that right out of the gate. I have no problem working with Democrats as long as they stop raising my taxes and giving it to ******* who don't want to work!!!! As for respect now you can't be serious with an ex Democratic president not able to keep it in his pants and then LIE about it. Both party's have problems.

I would not worry about what the Republicans get or don't get. We have the House now. Balance has been restored to the process. That is all that matters.

Happy Days
Dark days were plenty
Never ending sorrow
Only the past with
Uncertain tomorrow
Oh God the pain
That I've been going through
Raining in my heart
To my emotional rescue
I used to be
So far from life
No one could help me
Not even my wife
Oh God the pain
That I've been going through
Raining in my heart
To my emotional rescue
Happy days are here again
The sky is blue and clear again
Everybody I talk to
Says, man, you're looking cool
Nature oh nature is slow to heal
Nature oh nature please let me feel
When he was?
Oh my gosh happy days are here again
I can see the twinkle in the people' eyes
Goodbye blues, happy days are here again
Spread it good
(couldn't resist heh heh heh)

In the long haul, this only makes matters worse. The Dems didn't gain enough a majority to overturn a Presidential veto, so this really won't accomplish much beyond the guarantee that the next 2 years will be full of investigations....and little else.

Maybe you should check with the people in New York who elected Alan Hevesi Comptroller. His first step will be to be impeached, if the Albany County District Attorney doesn't indict him first, and the DEMS voted him in. Something is DRASTICALLY wrong here.
