should teachers make more money?

I think teachers should get pay more,because they teach our children what they need,teachers should in fact make something like what a doctor,and lawyer would get..........what do you think?

Teachers are overpaid, especially public school teachers. Plus, they only have to work 9 months out of the year. Doctors and lawyers work long hours and are only off a few weeks per year that's why they get paid well, while teachers are off several months a year and still make more then the average person who works all year long. Just research the average salary for teachers in your area, the assumption that teachers are paid low wages is a myth put out by the teachers and their unions. It's interesting how people start believing something that is not true just because it's repeated so many times. Not only that, their pension plans are setup so that they make more money when their retired then when they are working. What a racket.

Teachers definitely should make more money. Most teachers are pretty much raising our children now. It's unbelievable how many parents stop parenting when their kids reach schoolage and just think that the teachers will take over.

Teachers probably never will make a lot of money. Education will never have the funding that it needs to pay the teachers more.

Teachers are some of the hardest working, lowest paid, professional workers...just like cops and firefighters...they deserve more money. Why should the politicians make all the money for sitting in nice, air conditioned room and arguing for their own special interests all day?
