It really doesn't matter what other countries have done with capital punishment. Saddam was tried and convicted in Iraq where the law is that there will be one appeal and then if the conviction stands he will be hung within 30 days.

IMHO it is something that should be done in any country that uses capital punishment rather than dragging it out for decades on appeals.

Again in my opinion, there is no other suitable punishment for a man who kills hundreds if not thousands of his own people.

Should he be executed? Niether yes or no. The recent trail was is just a side show set up by Bush and Blair. Any person with some consideration should realize that; after what has been seen in the lead up to the war in Iraq. This isn't justice. By the way, wasn't it the US that supplied Iraq with all those weird weapons? Def Sec Rummy handshook with Saddam just a year before the Anfal campaign. That's a fact. Everyone who was involved in contributing the sad scenarios in Iraq should be brought to juctice. Justice is a pre requisite for lasting peace.

Iraq hasnt banned capital punishment...in fact, Saddam used it quite well, so why the problem if he gets a taste of his own medicine?

They could have done any number of things that he did with folks under his regime. For instance, hand cuffing his arms behind his back, and then hanging him up by his hands for hours at a time. Iron mask is another one that could have been done. Or maybe get fairly creative, and allow some his victim's families to spend 10 min at a time with one his limbs and a 2 lb hammer.

I could literally go on for hours here.......

I think he should be injected with poision like all the other criminals who do horrible things. He should die slowly and have it aired on the news. That way everyone will know he's dead. Hanging is just to harsh in this century. Don't you think?

He could be forced to watch Pelosi and Hillary get it on.
Or fat people dance in spandex.

Seriously, let the dude hang to death. Make it public. Make it brutal.
