No, you can get pregnant anytime of the month, even while on your period. You are not a lone in this question, so don't fret. Many people use an ovulation calendar as birth control, and it does work- to an extent. You can contact your local health department to get more information. They have pamphlets on all types of birth control...Good Luck!

You can only get pregnant when you're ovulating, because that means that your ovary (theres two, but one produces an egg one month, the other the next month and so on) has released an egg, which happens only once a month.
However, its been known to happen that some women ovulate from both ovaries within a fwe days of eachother, at the same time, and even twice from one ovary. Its extremely rare, and doesnt really change the fact that yes, you can only get pregnant once a month.
The time of month you ovulate is generally the same and depends on your cycle and your body. But, your body can decide to ovulate on a different day, or a different part of your cycle without you knowing it. So having unprotected sex when you "think" you're not ovulating is not a way to prevent pregnancy.
The ovum, or egg, is only viable for 24-36 hours for fertalization. The chances of actually getting pregnant if you have sex when the ovum is viable is still only about 89%. However, this is not to say that getting pregnant is difficult, especially for young women who are sexually active and not using protection.

I also have endometriosis so I can understand what your doctor means. Women with endometriosis have a much higher risk of being infertile and usually need all the help they can get to become pregnant. You can technically get pregnant at any time but to increase your risk you are should "try" while you are ovulating. The most accurate way to predict when you are ovulating is to buy one of those devices that can use your saliva (I think) to tell you when you are ovulating and have the highest chance of becoming pregnant.

This is actaully a tricky question - not silly. You can only conceive once the egg is released. HOWEVER... sperm can live inside you for 3 to 7 days so if your egg is released within 1 to 7 days after you do the baby dance then you could get pregnant. Some women ovulate more then once in some cycles as well (it's rare but it CAN happen).... so that could complicate things even more - or make it easier depending on your outlook!

You can get pregnant anytime during the month, however your most likely to get pregnant just after ovulation. With your condition, the doctor is telling you that this time (actually a period of about 3 days I think) is your best bet for natural pregnancy.

No, if you have unprotected sex at any time of the month, you are at 'risk' of getting pregnant. Use protection if you don't want to get pregnant or abstain completely.

No, but that is when your chances are higher. You can get pregnant at anytime during the month.
