We are supposed to be on the same team. Why would you support the abuse of our government system of checks and balances. Why is America great? Probably because of that system that you want to see become unilateral. Republicans had control of the country, and nothing other than our offensive military action is better than when Dems had control of the presidency. If you are that anti-Democrat, maybe you should sit down and figure out if you are anti-American. We are all supposed to be on the same team.
He has said that he will work with them to get things done. I think the country needs to always have at least 1 of the three in both parties. The country is best in that formation. Both Republicans and Democrats have bad habits and bad policies. That's where having that system of checks and balances is so important. Every law that will be passes will be Conservative-Democratic or Liberal-Republican. Those are the two best places to have your political views at anyway.
And this goes for all of you asking for an impeachment too. That's ridiculous. I don't agree with Bush's views on some things, but he had a GREAT initial response to Iraq and really has good intentions. I'm sick of all of this crap personally. Why do we hate our President in the same fashion that terrorsits do? This will tear our country apart (as it already has been).
Everyone please just get on the same page or acknowledge that the other party has at least some good ideas too.

Its only two years til the presidential elections, congress can't possibly clean up every mess Bush has made in that amount of time. Bush dosn't have to run again so he will do anything he wants, like finding his veto pen, but I don't think it will matter. In control? As I write this, Lieberman will be courted by all sides and his vote with either party may be the deciding factor. The President will still have final say in things like Rumsfeld and stay the course, thats not up to Congress and never has been.

Uh, well if he does veto, then congress can always try to override his veto with a voyte on the Bill. So, this is the balance of power dems wanted right?

What is sad is that he has vetoed only one bill in six years and that had to do with stem cells. Watch his news conference this morning and watch him kiss Dem butt.

so...it seems like all the democrats expect president bush to be impeached. high hopes? what if he's not? and, besides, impeachment does not guarantee he will be removed from office.

But then his critics will say he is legislating out of hatred and not for what is best for the country and that works against the party
