This is not the first time I have seen this question. I am here in Texas. I came down here to help a company with a Y2K project for a company which was run so poorly that none of the local talent wanted to expose themselves to the client. I ended up getting stuck here. While I have finally gotten to a point where the Texans don't shock me any longer, I can honestly tell you that Texas is a world unto itself. Good or bad it is what it is. The response that Bush is actually from New England is something you will hear allot down here, but as I try to tell them (as kindly as I can), Bush's management style is the worse of the Texas management which I have seen. His style is pure Texas oilman. And as you know Cheney is a Texan, too. The similarities between LBJ and W are not unusual when taken into consideration from a cultural point of view. LBJ gave us Vietnam and W gave us Iraq. LBJ fabricated the Tonkin Gulf incident, Bush fabricated the Iraqi threat. I appreciate your venting, but I don't think getting rid of Texas would do much good. It would only increase the land mass we would have to fence off.
