no the better class ones book into hotels, the more grounded ones stay with relatives ie rats in tower blocks and houses.

the poorer of the squirrels turn to crime, its terrible really, but thats the way society is going.

Yes they are... if you are referring to the Grey squirrels which are taking over the Red squirrel habitat in England. Despite what others have said these squirrels DO NOT hibernate they are "scatter hoarders" which means they gather and store food to eat over the winter. They stay in thier nests (called "dreys") when it is cold, bad weather and emerge at midday on warm sunny days in the winter to collect more of thier stored nuts etc, they also mate in winter.

No they migrate to warmer climates! They pack their nuts and go to Australia for the winter.

yeah i went to tenerife last christmas, the squirrels really ruined it for me

they still live in the parks, if that's what you mean. They live in drays, and have different drays for different times of the year, according to bill oddie.

They hitch rides south on African Swallows (European Swallows are no where near large enough to carry them).
