Let me get my cartilage pierced
tomorrow my little sister is getting her second ear piercing( the double one, right above her first) and i dont even have that.
but my sis said to ask my mom about my cartilage...does anyone have any ideas on how i can get her to say yes

I have my thirds done, im working on getting my eyebrow done. I would just bring it up slightly, then keep hinting at it. Then I would ask her nicely then if she says no say that its not fair that what ever your sisters name is getting her second ones done and say that you hae to be fair.

I used to bribe my mom to let me get piercings..(do more chores, get better grades, etc.) I got my cartliage done and it completely SUCKED. It always hurt.. I couldn't sleep on my ride side because of it. I ended up taking it out.. After I got rid of it my friend (who is a piercer) told me that either my body just rejected it OR that I got it done at a place like piercing pagoda at the mall. He told me that you should NEVER get your cartliage pierced with a piercing gun - go to a tattoo/piercing shop and have them do it with a needle. Just for future references. :P But yeah, I bribed my mom and it seemed to work.. although she did get a little annoyed. If that doesn't work.. I would just hold off on the piercings. Sure you can take them out but sometimes they DO cause scarring.

first off how old are you? second if your over 16 you dont need permission. its your ear. I dont see why she would have a problem if your sister is going for a sencon hold the only difference is the placement on the ear. its not like you were getting a nose ring for petes sake

Ask her politely. If she says no, ask her why she doesn't want you to do it. Talk about those reasons - calmly. Do not argue about it. Give her the reasons you would like to have it done. She may surprise you and say yes - if not, you may come to a compromise. Maybe she'll feel you're too young now, but allow it in the future.
Don't whine and manipulate - parents don't like that. It angers me when my kids try that.
