This election was about more than just the war. Issues like illegal immigration, embroytic stem cell research, privitizing social security, becomming independant from foreign fuel, same sex marriages.

I watched the debates, and actually the war in Iraq never came up. We in Michigan have bigger problems than the war in Iraq...like tax breaks to companies that outsource jobs. We have a terrible economy right now and needed to vote against anyone who was going to encourage it to be worse. And our voices were heard

I don't watch the debates anymore, because it's like 2 children arguing, throwing in the almighty past, reputation and DIRT. It has become a drama and they worry more about each others reputations, than they do the issues.
Everytime I see an ad on TV, I cringe. Who cares if so-so is an adulterer, or a pot smoker or lost a job...they are all human. And as humans we make mistakes. You make them and you learn from them. I am more apt to vote for the person who has made mistakes and overcome them.
We have to much Drama at home, who needs more. I read the issues and I read what they have to say on the issues, before that backlash begins.
People are more apt to write the truth then they are to spit it!

Because they don't televise them. For this election I don't recall seeing any of their debates on the local channels. Hard to watch the debates if they are not on tv. They only mention them briefly on the news.

No because it's all for show.Half the time the debators only say what sounds good anyway, even if they themselves don't believe what they are saying. Debates are for high schools students.

No. Why bother? They talk out both sides of their mouth saying whatever is necessary to gain your confidence and vote.
Read my lips - No New Taxes. (remember that?)
