Political affiliation aside, this phenomenon is the same as that seen on Monday after the Super Bowl, or after the World Series ends.

I am amazed that in our country we would have people, who themselves won nothing, who would want to gloat about someone else's victory. I enjoy watching the sporting events, but don't go around talking about how "we" won. Likewise, I am a rather well read and well informed voter and take my responsibility to vote very seriously.

I have never worked for a political candidate or political party. I did not, and have never voted by party lines. I vote for candidates based on issues and my own opinions. Some of the candidates whom I voted for won, some lost. I did not lose anything. I would guess (but I could be wrong) that most of the people responding to this posting, and you yourself also have not worked on a campaign. I also would guess that none of you have actually run for office. What did you personally win?

We may not agree with the candidates who lost, but I do have to say that most of the republican candidates here in the North East were very gracious and gave concession speeches that were unifying rather than divisive. I wish I could say that about every candidate who lost and all of their supporters.

The election is over. Now we must let our government run itself. We need to take an active role and contact our Representatives and Senators; we need to reach out to each and every elected official and tell them what is important to us. The government is for all of us; we all have a role to play beyond just voting.

Voting is the starting point. Gloating does nothing constructive.

I hope that we can all take the time to make our system work. Good luck.

Losing an election is not the same as being a loser. Not everyone said Dems would never retake Congress, but I know many who hoped it would not happen.

Even still, life goes on, but for your own safety, buy a gun...you may need it since your protection is not on the immediate agenda.

I honesty believe Obama is doing this on objective. he's a robust socialist at coronary heart and gained’t loosen up till at last he has destroyed the loose marketplace. he will attempt to pass the VAT tax alongside with the carbon tax. those strikes coupled with socialistic government run healthcare, located us in a bind. the respond : 2010, and 2012 elections. Edit: we could constantly decrease taxes like Reagan did in 1980. He decrease the desirable marginal value from 70 %. to 20-eight %. which doubled tax sales from form of one/2 1000 billion to a minimum of a million.4 trillion funds. For those people who communicate approximately he additionally spent over 1000 billion funds that 3 hundred and sixty 5 days pass over the 17 trillion funds of modern wealth that grew to grow to be created via technique of his tax cuts via technique of the desirable of his 2d term. Tax cuts constantly artwork, and Obama is properly-huge-unfold with this, yet he's a SOCIALIST.

Having Pelosi and Dean in charge....will insure a GOP vistory in 2008.

The DEMS always find the bottom to elect and appoint. Pelosi....look at her record. A disgrace unless you are one who takes more from society than you contribute.

Live with that. Parasitic behavior is not a respected value.

Well, since they lost big time, the Presidents ploy of lowering gas prices to make us think he was doing a good job did absolutely no good. I expect to see a rise in gas prices again, very shortly.

They didn't lose, this was simply a "referendum on President G.W Bush". At least that's how they'll end up spinning it.

Be gentle with them their shaking in their boots...so frightening they may have to actually think for themselves. They are used to the government doing their thinking for them.
