I'm not from UK but while watching "Barclays" by TV I noticed that some football trainers (..and TonyBlair also..) are wearing some kind of badge that look like red apple.... So what's that for?

It's a poppy. It's for Remembrance Day when there are memorial services at cenotaphs all over the country at 11am on November 11, to remember all those who died in the 2 world wars.

A nation that forgets its history is doomed to relive it.

The poppy was chosen because it proliferates in earth that has been disturbed, as the battlefields of northern France were by bombs.

They are poppies and are worn to show others that you are remembering those who died for the country. Poppies are used because they are the flowers which grew on the battle fields after the WW I ended.
We celebrated Armistice Day, which is the anniversary of the official end of World War I, Nov 11, 1918. ( 11 am, 11th day of the 11th month )
But now, this anniversary is used to remember all the people who'd died in wars since WW I.
