That has got to be the stupidest thing Bush ever said, and that's saying something.
As an alternative to "hating freedom", is it possible that these extremists have a problem with US foreign policy? Like the fact the the US has insisted on taking sides in just about every international conflict in the past 50 years, even if it's just a small rebellion within a country that had never bothered America. And not just taking sides, but selling weapons to one side, or sending CIA "observers", or trying to assassinate someone, or launching an invasion. Is it possible that these factors have something to do with why so many people want to kill Americans?
How about if instead of trying to kill every potential terrorist in the world, Americans just start minding their own business.

Of course not, it's all Political talks to get the mass to agree. Sadly, one gets to realize that nowadays, like 200 years ago, the mass is easily dominated by few poeple. It takes one man with a bit of power and celebrity to control. All what it takes is to initially sound good, speak something that is true, and the following lies slip like butter into people's minds. No one bothers to think how stupid the claim is. People want to beleive that the enemy is an entity with pure evil intentions that loves and lusts for blood and murder, and that's how people in the US view the terrorists.
Bare in mind that I am , in no way shape or form defending the Qaeda or any terrorist, but the point i'm trying to make is that these guys, like many others, have been subjugated to the unfair US international policy that you mentioned in your question. The thing is that many of these people have had their wives, children, relative of loved ones being killed unfairly by Israel or the US, and the latter get away with it with no punishment. The thing is that this has been hapening to many many people, but the few that have the potential to strike revenge take it to another level and want to do the same to the US and Israel and kill their civilians.

Let us take this big picture and think from there, let us see what we learned from these facts.
1- The US foreign policy has to be tremendously improved. The gvt should think that the laws they pass affect REAL human beings that have families, loved ones etc...
2- The Unfair and blinded justice that the US gives to Israel is so obvious that it strikes to the eye of the whole world except for the US and its people. Israel has done countless atrocities and the US still supports them blindly. ( nevertheless, palestinians have done bad too, but this isnt the topic of this discussion).
3- Terrorists are people with rage, anger and no feelings. They started by being normal people, but for a reason or another, were convinced that justice needs to be delivered, and since they are weaker than armies, can only cowardly take it on civilians. I condemn they cowardly acts and think the world should take a more rational and mature eye to the problem and fix it once and for all, how? This is what I think:

You can't kill terrorism, you can only kill its members. Bush's irrational and childish policy will lead to more violence. By waging the useless war in Iraq, supporting the senselss killing of Lebanse and palestininas by Israel, he is but allowing more people to become terrorists. What we need to do is first to realize that terrorism is here for a reason, it's not because these guys love to kill, but because they have a desire for vengeance. We can't kill them, for they do get replaced by more and more people. The way to stop this is to treat them as HUMANS. When palestinian children get killed by Israel, the US should join the world in CONDEMING isrrael instead of supporting it. The US shoudl stop its sensless and selfish oil policies and CIa assassinations worldwide. We need to live in a united world, where international policy is about trading and helping one another, not about surpassing the other and proving to the world that we are better than them. We need to make the world a better place, open your eyes people, we are the next generation, let us not take the same road that is used today, instead, let us look at it from ta fresh viewpoint: Christinas jews, muslims, atheists, people of all religions and ethnics deserve to be treated like humans. No one should be "preferred" than the other. We are all humans, we breath, love, are loved and seek for attention. Let us not forget that people in other nations are humans with feelings, not animals that seek bloodshed for no reason. Let us open our minds and understand that people like Bush want to increase our ignorance and close mindedness by telling us lies and stupidities as the one refereed to in the main question.

Most societies external the United States are not able to or won't realize the freedoms we experience. You might dangerous mouth my enter however bet what you have got the correct to do this. Your neighbor might burn the American flag. Good on him. Its his correct. I am a 20-yr veteran and I utterly help that character who whats to burn the flag. Its ONLY a flag. Yes it represents the United States of America, but it surely additionally represents the liberty a character has in our nation that he/she will do this. Most humans, I think, are not able to understand our tradition. Yes we do have a screwed up executive, who does not. But I have the liberty and correct that I can say now we have a screwed up executive.

I fully agree. This country has become to meddlesome. We're not fighting a war for freedom, we're fighting a war to prove that we can. We have become what I like to call a diplomatic tyrany, and to tell you the truth, I'm surprised we haven't been attacked more often or more devastatingly.

You are so right. If not for US foreign policy, meddling in Saudi Arabia or defending the terror state of Israel, the US would have little to worry about.
