There really isn't much you CAN do..Other than sleep (If you're able to)...It goes away in the 2nd trimester, But again, returns times three in the last parts of the 3rd trimester (trust me...I'm 39wks and if I could sleep 24hrs, I'd sure do it!)

This is my second pregnancy and I've been really tired with this one. With my first, I don't remember this at all. I'm currently 11 weeks and I def. notice my energy is coming back so GOOD NEWS! it does get better:) I work, so on my lunch breaks I would take a nap at my desk. It really helped. When I got home, I would do what I could do then pass out at like 7:30 or 8:00 and let my husband get baby number one to bed. Also, in the afternoon, although this isn't really recommended, I would eat something sweet (like a piece of chocolate cake) if it got so bad that I couldn't get my work done. It gave me enough energy to get through the last few hours of work:) GOOD LUCK!!

Just dont try to fight it. Its natural. Your body is on the road to some crazy changes and its preparing itself. The most things happen when you're sleeping. So just take this time to rest when you can. If you can catch a cat nap on your lunch break, do so. If the dishes need to sit so you can go to bed, do it. You'll get a bit more energy next trimester. For now, dont fight it or that could make you more tired.
Congrats and best of luck!

You dont! the first trimester you just feel rubbish, especially if your being sick! As long as your taking your vitamins and eating well the only thing you can do is rest when you need to. Other than that just cling to the thought that your second trimester is the best of the 3! You'll suddenly have energy again, hopefully no longer be sick and you may even get a glow! Unless like me you get acne!!! Haha : ) Its completely worth it tho, theres nothing more rewarding than children. Good luck!

Get as much sleep as you can, especially at night. Take some short naps during the day if you can. Even sitting down and shutting your eyes for 10 minutes or so should help. Drink plenty of water, eat healthy and eat when you are hungry and take a quick walk if you can. Don't worry, it will pass after your first trimester and you will have a few months where you feel pretty good.

ok, first of all, an energy drink would be the worst thing, most of them even contain labels warning that pregnant women and children shouldn't drink them. Many of these drinks contain ingredients to which we dont know the long term effects of, or the effects on the body of mixing all those mystery ingredients together.
lay off of the caffiene, its not good for the baby anyway and will end up zapping your energy. Drink water, plenty and plenty of water. 100%, non-concentrate juice or gatorade are also good options, but should still be limited and should not replace your water intake.
Make sure that you are sleeping not just enough, but reguraly. go to bed at the same time each night, give yourself an extra hour or two each night than normal and try to take an hour or two long nap at the same time each day.
Eat enough healthy carbs which will give you an energy burst, and enough protein as well.
Have your doctor check you for anemia, you may benifit from taking an iron supplement. Also try to eat iron rich foods. Remember that the human body digests iron from animal sources much better than plant sources, so while foods like spinach are loaded with iron, and should still be eaten, your better off eating red meat for an iron source. If you prefer veggies, make sure you are drinking a glass of oj, or getting another source of vitamen c with every plant source of iron. Vitamen c improves iron absorbtion. Red beets are a good source of both iron and c. Oysters and clams also contain good amounts of iron.
Regular moderate exercise will also invigorate you, i know this is hard when your tired, but it is one of the best things to keep up your energy levels. Take a walk in the morning, (an extra good idea since at least 15 minutes of sunlight a day also helps to increase energy levels and boost your mood) or stretch to a prenatel yoga video.
make sure you are taking your prenatel vitamens on a daily basis, your body may be depleted of nutrients such as the b vitamens that help with mood and energy.
other than that, just try and sike yourself up, when your in a really good mood, its easier to at least fake high energy. listen to upbeat music that gets you dancing alpong and makes you smile, watch your favorite comedys, or do anything else that you love to do that makes you feel good while your doing it. glum moods and tiredness generally go hand in hand while the same is true in the opposite.
and tell your husband (or boyfriend or whoever) that you need extra help right now. delegate some house work to him to give you extra relaxation time. Not that you should sit around the house all day doing nothing, but just have him pick up a few extra chores. maybe he can be in charge of luandry for a few months or do the dishes after dinner so you can take a few minutes to watch that comedy ....
good luck, and remember, the 2nd trimester normally gets better.....although its downhill again for the third!

Oh sweetie I knew how you feel. Been there twice! SOOSOO tired. well I would fall asleep at my desk all the time! if it possible try and get some naps in during the day. It will go away in time, but right now I don't think there is much you can do. You should really stay off caffeine so you can't load up on that. Try that Vitamin Water, the yellow one. It helped me some. It is a natural thing to feel so tired , so try not to fight it and get as much sleep as possible. Good Luck to you, and congrats!!

Don't drink energy drinks- that person is an idiot. Try to get lots of rest. Mid-day naps help if that's possible. This part and morning sickness are the suckiest parts of becoming pregnant.. but hang in there and just try to tough it out. The first trimester will be gone before you know it.

Definitely get lots of rest, I'm 15 weeks now and the past couple of weeks I find myself with more and more energy. I was soooo tired at first that I had trouble staying awake at work. Its a wonder I didn't' get lockjaw from yawning so much. lol I did nap and rest as much as I could. Let your housework go, its not as important as you getting the rest you need for you and your baby. Do not turn to caffeine or energy drinks. Read the labels on the energy drinks, if it is not recommended for children, imagine what it could do to a developing fetus. Take care of yourself, put you and your baby as first priority. Best of luck to you and your new baby.

Take many naps, eat small meals and take 10 minute walks a couple of times a day. Your body is producing a little miracle and it literally sucks the life out of you. You will be tired no matter what but the suggestions I gave do help a little.
