I know what you mean. But parents are supposed to control the behaviour of their children and if they are annoying you, you are well within your rights to complain. I've regularly leaned over to children and (whether their parents are present or not) told them to put their phones away, watch the film or get out. Or, 'I came to watch the film, not you lot!' If you get a mouthful in return, you simply go and get a steward. It's amazing, by the time you get to the end of the row, or to the bottom of the stairs, the children either vanish, or suddenly become model citizens. If that doesn't happen, the steward is obliged to eject them or reimburse anyone who cares to make a complaint. I've seen parents dump their children in one studio and then go and watch another film. There doesn't seem to be any sort of supervision. I find that scary on more than one count (expecially with the weirdos you get roaming around these days) and would expect parents to have a bit more common sense.
On the other hand, there's something very special watching a 'cartoon' film with a room full of children. Most of the films these days aren't aimed at children, but at adults. Most of the jokes are way above an 8 year olds head and I usually find myself being stared at by a load of kids when I laugh at a joke they just haven't and probably never will 'get'! But the laughter of children (in the right places) is, you have to admit, a wonderful sound.

Maybe the better option is to avoid going in school holidays, at weekends and late afternoon/early evening. I don't think that the over 18 cinemas would catch on as it wouldn't be lucrative for the company- They thrive on custom from schoolchildren! I feel your pain tho! Can't stand screaming kids ruining films! Even worse though are the 14/15/16 year olds who only go to make as much noise as possible! Where do they get the money from to afford such a luxury and then abuse it?!

Yes, yes, yes. I really want to see Borat but am waiting until the kids are all off watching something else so that I don't have to deal with them!
We had this idea for a private members cinema club that would show general release movies but only for grown-ups and if you talked or your phone went then you would be excluded from future showings. Plus there would be a bar so that afterwards everyone could have a drink and chat about it. What luxury!

Yes, I would go. I actually avoid going to the cinema to see films that are less than a 18 for this very reason. For anything else I wait til they come out on Sky.

I artwork in a theater, so i'm able to truly enable you to comprehend, identity is barely easily required for "R" rated videos. Now, observing the theater, they'd have rules that limit human beings decrease than a undeniable age attending and not utilising a discern or criminal mum or dad. it somewhat is on a theater via theater foundation however.

yes i would to. The jobs and teenagers that think they are the **** and control everything is completely and utterly annoying.
We should build a little village or something that only allows mature and older people.

This Harkins opened up in Southlake and they offer "child care" while you're watching the movie. They have games and cartoons and stuff... but, it's like $8/hr or something.
