I was Wiccan long before the pilot episode for this series aired. I think this will always be my favorite show (I own every season that's come out of DVD so far). But, really, very little of what's used in the show are facts about Wicca. They may use some of the same words, but in different ways. The show's pure entertainment and nothing like what witchcraft really is.

I don't know if it has sparked any one's interest in witchcraft or not. I enjoy the show, but, it's just a television show. They get a lot of details wrong, and most witches aren't out battling fireball throwing demons on a regular basis. One thing that I do appreciate though is that they portray witches in a positive role. Instead of the witch being the mean old lady that flies on a broom and tries to get you (and your little dog too!), they actually allow the witches to be the heroines of the show. Even though there are a lot of facts that they get wrong, just that aspect allows me to overlook the shortcomings.

I am also a big fan of Charmed and you seem to have a thing for the supernatural. I would recommend Hero's but I haven't seen it. But it does seem to have the thing with people with supernatural powers saving lives. The show Supernatural with two brothers tracking down supernatural things is also a pretty good show. I also like Smallville about the earlier years of Superman, when he was a teenager.

I think it has created interest among people, young people especially, who really have no idea what witchcraft is all about.
I am a pagan witch for 15 years or so now, and my experiences are nothing like what you see in that show. It's a cute show (I've only seen it a couple of times) but very unbelievable.

I love Charmed, I love Charmed, and again I love charmed!!!!!! and i was practicing before 1998, and i know that magic doesn't work like it does on Charmed. So no it hasn't sparked anymore of an interest than i had before the show started, but i think its a cool kick @ss show.

Charmed is actually one of my favorite shows and I've watched it for a long time, but it isn't what sparked my interest. My interest came when a friend of mine told me about Wicca (I didn't know it was actually real yet) and I started doing research on it.

It has sparked an interest but I haven't "gotten" into witchcraft. It just makes me wonder if these things can actually be true.

Nope, if they were hoping to spark interest they should make it more realistic. As in one episode, an evil warlock kidnapped 2 of the witches and turned them into miniatures. Yet, the last one coming to rescue her friends was in the same room and couldn't feel their presence. Totally stupid...
