I pull my hair back away from my face, look the person in the eyes intensly (some look away...), and then put my serious voice on-- it's kind of cold, but it gets the point across.
Well, some people just can't take me seriously because of my size, but that sucks... :-)

It usually doesn't work. I can't keep a serious face for more than a few minutes, unless I'm serious of course.
