Because the idiots who listen to them are uneducated and illiterate and think that if they are on welfare and living off our taxes they shouldn't have to pay taxes. I got a tax cut comparable to my income just like you did and just like EVERYONE did.

I hear you! I received a higher tax break under Republican control. I'm suprised you don't get a bigger break than that. I know the tax system generally penalizes you for being married which I never could understand. I'm a head of household and my deduction seems "relatively" fair.
I am a single parent and have been for nearly 17 years. I made close to your salary and certainly would not consider myself RICH. I've owned several homes in the Northeast, but I started 15 years ago when prices were half what they are today. I succeeded by making cuts and sacrificing and never spending what I didn't have.
Democrats use fear and intimidation and their old stamp of Republicans only caring for the wealthy. It's just wrong. I received a much bigger break with a Republican president than I did with 8 years of a Democrat.
Good luck to you.

only making 50k between both of you puts you in the middle class. rich is considered the very wealthy who don't really need tax breaks- think donald trump. and you really should talk to a good realtor they can suggest programs to help you buy a house. such as hud, or alot of cities have special programs for first time home owners .

Of course you're not rich-the tax break you're getting is because of your kids and will continue. Calm down, you're not a target. You and the wife are pretty solidly middle class!

it is hypocrisy. taxing the rich is just a way to create class warfare. it is like penalizing ownership and success......which ( i am sorry) is what communists countries do. take from one person to give to another. you don't know how to spend your money wisely...so we, the noble gov't will spend it for you.
it is anti-capitalistic to tax the rich. most rich people earned their money fair and square through honest work and opportuinty, which is what capitalism is all about.....bettering oneself.
to not have any rich (but a few elite) would imply a socialistic state.
and yes...you are correct. the vast majority of people who receive tax relief.....are far from rich. it's like saying i care more that the rich have less...than my own self having more. assanine.

50,000 is considered middle class. Most likely your tax breaks come from having two kids.

By the 'current' cuts, they mean the cuts that were newly put in place that specifically cut taxes for those making more than $200,000.
